I gather them all up like sweet bouquets
taking my time with each vowel and sound
writing poetry each and ever day
is a sure pleasure it goes round and round
so many stories to tell never out of words
as long as the heart is full, I can always add;
Poetry sometimes can be a powerful sword
when it comes to revealing emotions of sad
I call them penflowers a gift to the reader
who loves to ensconce in heartfelt emotion
go ahead and be my chromatographer

yes, I write poetry each and every day.
When writing poetry from our hearts and souls is when we excel in its excellency. Every poetry is a memory like a photo. When we read back to ourselves we would remember why we have written the poem.
At times for me "a powerful sword" too. "Penflowers" is a great descriptor Vienna. Send that one to Webster's. Great pic of you. Sometimes I have to remind myself I used to be young. Thank God for old photos. Happy 4th. Peace... rlc
I can see that you are among those who find writing poetry a release of your thoughts onto a medium that can easily be presented and read by others--poetry.
I see poetry differently. Once in a while I will get an idea. One that automatically rhymes in my mind and I have to get it out. That's why so many of my poems seem to have a message. I have to teach. I have to explain. Poetry does that for me. So, my weekly poem can be hard to come sometimes, because I keep looking for something that will top the poem I wrote last week in terms of its transmitted meaning and worth.
But every once in a while, I just like to play with words and rhymes. Making nonsense sound like reality and all it really is, is fun and wordplay.
