A twine of hope is worth more then a thousand strings of doubt
an open door more precious then , "the knock on wood" design
A lucky rabbit foot, a four leaf clover, just trinkets to amuse,
but a prayer on the lips can ease the soul & give a heart restore

and one good deed more valuable then a sedentary talk of good

Great euphemisms. Created by observant people who were trying to make all of us better by using simple expression that everyone could understand. Some of them are lost to people of today because they may not even know the meaning word, twine.

"a fluted glass of bluff" is a distinctive image. The message resonates with me in various ways. Certainly "an ounce of grace' can change anything (or anyone) for the better. So can "straight talk and hope". But finding anyone who engages that way anymore seems to be getting more and more challenging. Thanx 4 sharing. Hope all is well.... r
