A Poem On World Peace

Poem Artwork

Author of Poem: Mystic Rose
Photo Artist : Akirakusaka

I stood there in a field of tall tall grass light pouring softly from the moon
beneath my feet, earth was getting ready for a dormant state of mind
I watched the dandelion puffs huddle amidst the dark and wondered,
what it would be like if we finally achieved world peace...
My gauzy gown of gray floated in the wind. As I hugged myself
real tight, I started to pray to the moon that it would not withdraw
its liquid light of gold. World peace had been sleeved for too long
and now I wanted to see it, before I grew old...
Laced in a field of nature I rounded up all my hopes and wishes
then I blew the dandelion puffs one by one like a brave child;
Yesterday I danced on a hot sidewalk with a skipping rope by the sun
tonight I dance on a patch of cool damp earth, hoping the battle is won
I cupped my ear to the sound of silence and sure enough it sounded
like a cease fired moment of nothing, a sound never heard before
one I knew nothing about, the sound of world peace.

We poets and dreamers have hope for this for a very long time. But until we can somehow eliminate all the greed and all of the power that certain individuals apply for their own benefit, using the peaceful people around them as their slaves, our dream will not be fulfilled.

But for each of us, when the moon is out, we can go out and enjoy the cool night and even walk barefoot on the damp soil in the tall grass for the peace that it brings to our souls.

It would seem that world peace is the last thing
Putin wants. Maybe Cupid can pierce his heart with
a love arrow. Or maybe 500?

I truly do wish for your words to become real and that there'll be peace in my lifetime but sadly I am also a realist and looking at the situation in the Ukaraine...I think the only thing that will stop Putin not only from taking the Ukaraine but also going after other countries, is a greater show of force with yes...more troops on the ground. Well stated words though Rose.

Glorious beautiful comfort in imagery Mystic Rose.. I have profound hope because Jesus has overcome the world and all tribulations of it and tells us to take heart and be like him daily. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this. Loved the hope and promise of our greatest best friend ):

Deeply meaningful, apt, and timely. I long for the sound of sweet silence when nothing is heard but the sigh of peace. Love and best wishes to you, Mystic Rose,

Regis. 🙏🌼🌳💚🍁

A beautiful, gentle
peaceful and hopeful poem Vienna!

Here in the UK it has been a
Scary few weeks viewing all
that is happening on our European
doorstep…
As a woman, do you agree that we would act
differently if the reins of power were within our
hands? Us who bear the children of our
Planet?

Sending love,
Diana…🍃

Keep hoping for that kind of silence. And keep praying for the Prince of Peace to reclaim His planet. As a sidenote: There're over 1450 World Peace organizations in the United States. Combined, they employ almost 10,000 people, earn in excess of 3 billion in revenue yearly, and have collective assets of 5 billion. Like global warming, these causes make for good business. I was touched by your heart cry in this Vienna. Thank you for sharing.... rlc
