Ignited by the light of His compassionate heart
I walk through the mazes of life like a soldier without a gun
spearing evil with my radiate sword of old
Bible verses non-thumped, engraved on my heart
a memory eclipses settles deep in my mind
a life time of flint blade motions of valor spring into action
when the chalice, is threatened by dark matter...
Filling my cup with aureate blinding rays, I know I belong to only Him;
My lantern is lit every morning and it is lit every night
it is even lit during my consecutive, precautious, daily aerial flight.
Holier-than-thou Bible thumpers. Yikes! And the hellfire and brimstone preachers were a misguided lot too. These kinds though are part of the multi-faceted tapestry of life. Every religion has its faction of heretics and the overly zealous. Each one of us needs The Creator's wisdom to know what to take to heart, and what to run from. Your thoughts, Vienna, brought to mind a simple song I learned when I was a very young child. "This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine...." It also brought to mind Matthew 5:16. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven." Thank you for sharing your heart. Regards.... r

Amen sister glorious in light..... We burn joyously, humbly, looking upon His ever love promise mercy that's so profoundly overflowing. It's the most beautiful, powerful hope filled time in the earth with all it's revelations of is promise
