We are depleting our planet little by little while taking what we need
perhaps this is the time to give back to Mother Earth and plant a seed
Imagine yourself in the forest picking chanterelles, like times of old
Wild animals running free, deer panting by the river with eyes of gold
Take a deep breath in, (hold) breathe out
Giant trees with leafy arms that encircle you with love and breeze
they talk to you in whispers, about the magical ignite of precious soil
Best part of you is now immersed inside this magical embroil
you are part of the whole, part of everything that breathes
Take a deep breath in, (hold) breathe out
Place your back against the trunk of a tree and allow the energy to enter
Up in the heavens the angels are sending you rays of golden sun
Your creator is re-shaping you like a soft pliable piece of clay
he wants you back tot he original shape of the creature you once were
Take a deep breath in, (hold) breathe out
You own blessed hands, a blessed heart and a capable body that works
give thanks for the gift of living, give thanks to Mother Earth
and the One who has given you life, you are loved beyond all measure.
A poem about taking care of our planet
We are depleting our planet little by little while taking what we need
perhaps this is the time to give back to Mother Earth and plant a seed
Imagine yourself in the forest picking chanterelles, like times of old

Yes we must take care of our beautiful Planet…
Planting, replacing and enjoying the immense energy of Nature…
If we all work together, it is still possible to preserve and
heal our precious World…
According to the 'World Population Clock' 7.9 billion people inhabit planet earth. 'Mother Earth' (a term I find no attachment to, or endearment for) is used to refer to the earth as a woman or a goddess. Kind of strange how that concept evolved. Perhaps the ultimate value of this 'Gaia' concept lies in the fact that it prompts us to envisage our world in a novel, challenging, and inspirational way, as the burgeoning literature and mythologies around it attests. The question as to whether or not the theory is "true" is, in the end, perhaps secondary to whether it helps us link justice and peace to the integrity of all creation. I do agree though, Vienna, that each of us must all do our part to help protect our temporary home. All the best. r
Approaching 8 billion. Why family planning rather than, "go forth and populate the lands" and "conquer all things for your use," is more important than ever.
Not only do we have to consume carefully, we have to change our whole way of living. Hopefully that will happen like you wish in your poem and the earth will have time to heal itself from the ravages of people trying to live and make a living from the land.

I agree whole heart, Vie. Our earth is so profoundly delicate as the web of life, as we do to her it will contract birth pains of either harmony or expelling of what isn't....She is sick, however she still can heal..It's up to all of mankind...One indication of her health is the whales in the ocean because they are the record keepers of all life...Have a beautiful day...
