just one of those grey days waiting on the impending storm, 22-2-2013

Poem Artwork

Another day hiding in the shadows
one more closer to the race at an end.
The dour skies overhead without glow
but a mirror of one who did not blend.
Smother out thoughts in daily vocation
dare not hope for a change in the weather.
Thirst not for a heavenly libation
nor to rest in natures loving heather.
Worrying knot of loves loss in the end
just one more day hiding in the shadows.

My dear friend, it is never the end. Hold my hand and walk with me, we will see that life has no end. We change, but the precious in us
will lighten our way. God Bless You my dear friend. Love to all of you Emile

"Another day hiding in the shadows
one more closer to the race at an end."

If only we could remain in the shadows indefinitely...
Unfortunately we would miss life as it passes us by...
We have to seek the light and the happiness it can bring...
We have to remove our-self from the darkness that smothers us...

Wonderful write and expression Budd

You are like all of us sometimes, wander into the deep dark caverns of our soul, to see but grey, in and out, then we often forget, it's a phase, only momentary in time, soon the sun will break through the clouds, and we see the bright side of our other being, well written Budd, with sentiment expressed profoundly. Hugs!

Then there comes a day when there is no more hiding in the shadows. The change in the weather happens suddenly as light pours through a crack in the clouds, flooding our mood with light.

One way to get out from under the shadows is to write about bright, sunny things. That is one beautiful moth with fantastic coloring and pattern on its wings.

The sun never leaves its place though dourness walks in. Shadows are of their own purposes and make for lovely images, in the long run.... Beautifully written as always.

With both pathos and irony, this poem alerts the instinct in any ready to avoid not the gift of the next day, and the next. Beautifully put.

We must become colorful to offset the greyness. I love the moth in the picture. Look how fearsome the pattern is when he spreads his wings. It is a 'false face' that looks 'so big'. I love it! Like him we must appear as what we are not sometimes. I love the song, "Put on a happy face."!

Love ya!

Heavenly libation of natures loving heather to her beauty
you seek sunshine and billowing lofty arias of spring.
The skies today are that grey but no storm can dim my
adoration for a friend.

Greyness, a suffocating blanket that slowly covers everything until even life itself seems bleak.
But remember, how grey the sky may be sometimes, the sun will always return, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but he will return.

Double-edged sword within the guts and glory of this one, Budd. Another day hiding in the shadows meaning possibly more than is thought of at first glance.
