A true friend is the one who's there when the chips are down.

Hiding from life Trying to ignore Sorrow and strife Don't want anymore Just let it go So easy to say Where'd my strength go Had it yesterday What helps so much Is to have a friend Keeps me in touch With myself.........I'll mend To have a friend A friend to the end Jane Noponen Perinacci

Beautiful Jane.
This is a real friend. It's easy to be friends in laughter and good times but when it comes to tears and hard times you will notice who your real friend(s) are.
