So lovely! This reminds me of Christmases past when as a child, I'd help Mom and my siblings decorate the tree, always a real one!

Christmas is always magical when you're a child, and that's why Christmas is for kids. My mom had a village she set up under the tree, with a string of lights lighting up each building, and then she had a metal fence circling the village.It was a cool yule.
Ah yes, the memory of past Christmas trees. Our tree was always "real", never put up before Christmas Eve when our father bought and installed the tree in our den in a bucket of earth that we kids meticulously watered until 6 January after which the tree came down. Our tree didn't linger, only the memory did.
