Longing…
Traveling is what I long for, so much,
Pulling the motorhome out and such,
Leaving behind all the stress and what I clutch,
To be familiar & less worrisome, what I can touch…
To see this country of ours, to drive it from top to bottom,
To view all the oddities, to see it from beginning to end,
I could do it, if I just did so bend,
The rules a little, although my pocketbook would never get on the mend…
The moon over the Pacific, the sun over the Atlantic, clear waters of the gulf,
So beautiful for me to see, I hardly hold back the tears,
For I do miss the traveling, the meeting new people, the views and vistas,
I would awake to and pass by and stop to take pictures,
All do I miss, but most of all I miss the driving, new places to go through,
Doing so with my best one and only crew,
Rene & Rufuz, both along, talking me around and through the cities & throngs…
