Tubing the Delaware…

Park in the lot,

Pick up your tube,

Get on the bus,

Make sure on your bod,

You have sunscreen lube…

Taken by bus,

To a spot up river,

Oh the water is cold,

It gave me a shiver…

Stay on your tube,

The current is fast,

Not so very deep,

But fall off your tube,

This could be your last…

Sun peeking past clouds of white,

Blue sky so bright,

Nowhere is it slight,

River about a hundred yards wide,

Pennsylvania on one side,

New Jersey on the other, so abide…

With the current so fast,

The ride it does not last,

As long as is advertised,

The trees and time go past,

No time it seems to get my rod cast…

Still a wonderful day,

I just herein have to say,

With friends who did pay,

I can in my tube, lay…

BBQ afterwards,

I really don’t have the words,

To repay or thank those friends of mine,

They made my birthday as special as a diamond mine…
