“ME”

The Dead I did follow,

Their music it did not hollow,

Out my head as my parents once said…

Still listen to them, but less and less so,

Hendrix, Clapton, SRV, and Sabbath,

All sounds I do listen to now & then,

Vivaldi, Bach, Paganinni, and Mozart being a favorite,

Relaxing at the end of a day, classical for driving,

Kitaro, Yanni both new age artists,

And Kenny G, if in the Jazz mood I be…

Clive Cussler, John Grisham, the Dalai Lama I do read,

Books on meditation, the eastern religions & philosophies,

Specifically Buddhist that includes Zen, my belief of choice,

Rarely do I find reason to get angry and raise my voice,

Unless it is on the road, when driving, only to myself, my choice…

Work to live; live to write, as it seems only just right,

Peace on my mind a great deal of the time, peace for the world,

But also, peace for the self, enlightenment IS the way & the light…

Nature I do love, a daddy to Rufuz and Sinders, fiancé to Rene’,

Keep that car clean and running well, so I am herein anal,

This it will help in the long run, maybe not today, but someday…

Can’t think of much to herein say,

My life is pretty much an open book of poetry, at humor I try to play,

Reading my works you can find, sadness, depression and happiness,

No different from all the rest of the great poets on AuthorsDen today…
