Rainbows End…


 


A pot of gold or so it is said,


Resides at the end of the rainbow,


My pot of gold does reside in my mind,


I have had it the past, my sight perfect from behind…


 


You may question if the boat is my end all wish,


I just want world peace, world love and a satellite dish,


Although the boat would be nice to have,


A live aboard it would make, great place to catch fish…


 


For now I have to live with what I got,


Not much I realize but still to others I do have a lot,


Have to acquire a cemetery plot,


No need do I have for this,


As I have been told my ashes will be sprinkled wherever my dog does squat…

A humble man with simple wishes: 'world peace, world love and a satellite dish?'... your longing is palpable, your expressions, grand... that particular line, sweetly humorous. I wish I could get you that boat, Ed. I so understand the longing. Sigh... katy xox.

Interesting poem dear Ed!
I think you should have your ashes
spread among the Smoky Mountains!
(just my opinion)
Love ya and the surgery went semi-well.
Read my poem about it, okay?
I am doing better this evening. I can even walk!
That is without crutches!

LOL, Ed. I have to tell you that one day, when I was living in Ohio, I walked onto my back yard deck, while it was raining. A rainbow was touching down, right there, right in front of my eyes and right on the concrete access for my septic tank...so, I am here to tell you this, yanno that pot of gold they are always telling you about? Listen up!...that a crock of sh**! This is a true story.
