You have already recieved great advice :-) I am more buddhist/native in my thinking; always will be. It comes down to one thing. We are One. The bible was written by man, that is why it becomes so confusing. Listen to your inner self and your connection with the Spirit. (btw if your inner self is being negative you found the wrong one :-) )

You read poems online, you can read the Bible online. Just put Amplified Bible in google and you, get a list, then click and start reading.That is if you are really interested in knowing the truth;-)

Ed dear sir, Cynthia could not have said it better. I know that it may seem confusing to some as Leah often visits the Christian chat on yahoo where you have a great many people of all religions visit in search of answers. Unfortunately, too many times one will encounter those who, though they are believers, they lack understanding and misdirect unintentionally. That is why I think Cynthia answer was so well put… If you will do as Cynthia so gracefully said…just pick up the word and read it at your leisure and read it with an open mind and heart, and ask God to impart on you the meaning of those questions that you asked, then you will be surprised at how clear some things soon become. I have been reading the bible off and on now for almost forty years and when I come to a passage that I don’t understand, I just simply ask God to show me the meaning thereof. Even in that, I still come away sometimes as lost as I was before…but I know that someday it will all be known to me, even as I am known…I really enjoyed this honest and sincere query from you pen tonight. Ed, Nicodemus questioned, so there is nothing wrong with your inquiry. (People and so-called religious folks who cringe at inquiry are usually afraid to find out they might be mistaken about a belief. Best thing I can say is this: Get hold of a Revised Standard New Testament (or an Amplified Bible. . .explains in nit-picking detail). And just read at your leisure the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The mystery is that the Three (Father Son Holy Ghost/Spirit) have their own roles, and AGREE as one. (That's the way relationships are supposed to be. . . like "agreeable" ?(smile)

Then, if you want to know more, just holla. . . Jesus was not religious, he was obedient to his role that God sent him to do on the earth. Just read Matthew (nice geneaology in there too!), then Mark, Luke and John. If people did more study of those and honest answers, not too many of us would even know how to SPELL the word "denomin. . . demomni. . .oh shoot, the word means "DIVISION." and Christ never wanted religion to be divided. He came to be an example so we could all have a way back to God because Satan wants to screw up our eternal happiness.
