A Thunderstorm Mood…

Poem Artwork

Sleeping to the distant sound of thunder,

The gentle patter of rain on the roof,

Trying to stay of the storm aloof,

No longer can I of my bed get under…

Some nights I hear the waves speak,

Others I listen to traffic passing by,

A foghorn does break into another night,

Though I can’t deal with a heartbeat,

Throughout the night till light…

A sound machine does lull me to sleep,

Not just white noise, it does of me keep,

It does block outside revelers noise,

In my sleep it does reveal to me dreaming joys…
