Can’t see much out my windows today,
Covered they are like the rest of our world,
Covered in white with yet more to come,
The urge to drive in it has gotten me to succumb…
We, old Rufuz & I, wanna go to the beach,
To see the snow there making it more pretty,
The Jeep full of gas, the four wheel drive engaged,
We’re going down to our home in Sea Isle City…
Surely we will take our time,
Being careful, can’t stop on a dime,
We don’t get a chance like this too often,
Snow here does of my mood tend to soften…

drove out of park, over bridge, only about 1 mile - hazardous. got cigs at Royal farm, then crossed Back River Bridge, slid sideways even with front wheel drive -almost hit curb - made a u-turn and came back home.
called work and told them not coming in unless they have EMERGENCY delivery. Eastern Avenue is a main thoroughfare, and had NOT been salted. All main side streets in essex - NOT DONE - how can you deliver prescriptions to sick people if you can't reach their homes? Same thing every storm - they NEVER do side streets, which remain hazardous for 2-3-4 days!
called the full-time driver who did go in - said terrible out there - he is trying to do a couple - then going back home -
wrecking your car will not help future needed deliveries for the rest of the week!

Watch what's there under all that snow or you will start from your home try to brake on Sea Isle City and stop in Portugal.
