Or the lack of health, as it were...

Poem Artwork

Could I or Couldn’t I,

The doctor Can’t say,

More tests a month away,

He has no reason to right now or ever lie,

I gotta be honest,

I gotta tell the truth,

I don’t rightly much Care,

Just keep me drugged & allow me to die…

Not afraid am I of dying,

More afraid of the pain of the big “C”,

About death, you will never catch me lying,

Just keep me on those wonderful drugs that keep me flying…

So no more Can be said,

Just that I’d have to stay again in bed,

& I just really started to like again to ride,

My bicycle is the only time I am stress free,

A Couple of miles per day, will find out more,

In a future that I can not now forsee…

I love how they wait a month ... meanwhile, if it is, could be growing. GRRRRRRRR Doctors make me so mad. I pray it's NOT the Big C. :(

Than it's a little premature,
To be throwin in the towel, today.

Besides, many people have been cured of cancer. Start digging up some big fat nightcrawlers; I'm definitely sending Mr. Mole out there to cheer you up.

It's not over 'til the fat lady sings and my wife hasn't sung yet. (Her words, not mine). All I can say is pray and keep fighting it my friend. Be well and God bless.

Think positive Ed and you will be kept in our prayers until you are well and riding your bike once again. There is lots of living yet to unfold so keep making the most of every day. Godspeed...

Be always safe,
Karen

Hey Ed. We'll all be right here pulling for you, big guy. Hang tough and hope for the best....

and “live every day like it were your last.” I don't recall who first said that, but I live by it these days.

Good Luck, Dick

PS: Though it was hard to read, because of the message it contained, I think this is among the best you've written recently.

I do hope all will be well, Ed. Myself, I am going back in six months for more blood tests to see if I need to go for another biopsy so I can relate. You are right about riding the bike. It is great physical and mental therapy. Love and best wishes to you, friend,

Regis

Got my fingers and everything else that crossable, crossed, Ed. I'm with you. I don't plan on letting the pain get so bad if I can possibility do anything about it. Damn, guy. Maybe you're free of it. Crap. Just when you and I got chummy.
