Neatly trimmed green grassy yards Give muse-ual thoughts to bored bards No hint of a breeze In any of a hundred trees Watching the clock while in my car Waiting for the washer to end, about par… Traffic passing on Route forty, Dogs barking in local neighborhood Sitting here thinking what to do if I should Rather be home in bed sawing wood… Cranking the music to stay awake The car all over creaking The speakers all over speaking Competing with the in coming thunder The neighbors look over at me in wonder…
