Poem Artwork

I don’t really know,

Outside I never do go,

I sleep the day away,

And just inside stay…

I eat very little of late,

I have the food, just not hungry,

When I hear noise, I look out the window,

Mostly I guess then I am just nosey,

Life at the moment is just not all that rosey…

But I am still alive,

I sometimes get out for a drive,

It seems to make me feel better to a degree,

I really wish a job would somehow find me…J

You need to get out more and walk, and you need a hobby. May I suggest vegetable gardening, I find it very therapeutic and very rewarding, and there is nothing like growing your own food.

Yes, it sure sounds like depression, my friend, and I know from personal experience what its like to be there. Maybe when you find a job it will help, but for now perhaps it might be a good idea to seek professional help...my thoughts are with you...

Yes, that is an accurate description of depression. I have no advice, as I know it all requires that green stuff. What I do is just keep chuggin' every day.

The job would be nice. But you need to have more purpose to get out of depression. I suggest that you refocus all your writing energy toward a novel featuring a wonder dog named Rufus. Have him go through all kinds of adventures and save the day, attracting all the beautiful chicks to his companion and faithful master, Sir Edward.

Ed,

I understand depression, I've been there. Your doc can prescribe meds that will help you. Getting out of the house helps too. I will pray for you, Ed. All at AD love you and wish you well.

Blessings,
+Linda

I have to agree with George and Andy, my friend. Talk with a doctor and remember, you have to take the first step. I'm praying for you, Ed. Be well and God bless.

Do take it seriously. Leave the mask of a clown and maybe chat to the DR, yet oftentimes family and friends are the best to depend upon. BUT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY!

Good idea to get out for a drive as long as you are able to drive safely. Staying at home alone is not good for your health. Activity of some sort like a daily walk can help chase the blues away and increase the appetite. See your doctor if you can not get some food into you. Depression causes many symptoms and should be diagnosed by your doctor promptly. Go see him, it can't hurt but might save your life.
