Poem Artwork

Since last time I took a hit,

Instead I just like to play on the computer,

Read or just outside sit,

Don’t need the weed to feel good,

Of late been enjoying life the way I should…J

I have stopped in the past,

Not sure when it was I did it last,

I can do it anytime I wish,

Don’t eat as many then before bed of a knish…J

I guess I just felt that I needed a break,

Maybe after I get my new teeth in my mouth,

Then I will get high and have a big juicy steak,

But until then I can wait,

As well without smoking, I don’t seem to gain as much weight…J

We can quit anything. All we got to do is go ahead and do it. Sure, sometimes look at that nagging withdrawal feeling, but it will go away very soon. And, as you've realized, the benefits can be quite good.

More power to you.

You encourage me, Ed; not the pot, but I should cut back on the daily vino for the sake of my liver, I reckon. Not that I'm an old soak, but I have had intolerance in the past and I should probably take notice. Thanks for the reminder and keep enjoying the good, life-giving alternatives to chemically-induced highs. If you ain't got no teeth at the moment, guess that also helps with weight reduction?! :) xx

LOL - You got it in one. All those munchies and all those steaks put on the pounds. It's good to take a break from things once in a while.
