Speaking with the self is therapeutically sound...I hope...?

Poem Artwork

Upon awaking in the morning,
I tell myself that I gotta pee,
To myself I talk, yes just to me,
Sometimes I think its God,
Giving me a warning,
That I am getting closer to being crazy,
He has already made sure I know I am definitely lazy,
Sometimes he just passes by saying hello with a nod…

What is so wrong with talking to the self,
I mean I live alone and rarely have company,
My whole life I have been a loner,
I’ve always talked to myself,
Especially when I get high,
Then you might call me a stoner…

So if you do talk to the self as well,
Don’t worry that you are headed to hell,
We are all pretty much the same,
Coming from that one sperm cell,
Till the day that we ultimately hear our death knell…

Since you refuse to get a dog; get a parakeet or a goldfish - they, too, are excellent listeners.

Thank goodness there are no recording or listening devices around my house. I just told myself that I'd better check to be sure.

Love ya!

are you talking to yourself or is your self talking to you? perhaps your greater self ...

Talking to oneself lets you know that there are voices in an empty room, even if you are alone with yourself. But please, do not listen to voices of others telling you what to do. For that is definitely a sign of being crazy, and you wouldn't want to do anything crazy like those crazy idiots do, now would you?

"BY GEORGE, I THINK HE'S GOT IT !"

ED ... talking to one's self is perfectly ... Okey-Dokey ...
but Beware the Listening to one's self ...
that's where we get in trouble!

The Ravings of a Mad-Man (like ewe) should always be ignored !
When that veritable verbiage starts to seem to make Sense ... Look Out !

Paying heedance to one's own Words ...
Is like savoring the stench of one's own Turds !
Awful Offal may be Lawful ... but in the End (or rather Out the end)
It is still summarily & penultmately ... AWFUL !!!

"SO SAYETH THE SOOTHSAYERS" ... FORSOOTH !

YEW ARE WELCOME !

I ALWAYS talk to myself. As writers we all do. :)

Of course we chat to ourselves! Where else would be get such relevant answers or such staunch support of our theories!
We are our own best friends and it doesn't do to ignore those :-)
