Won't be driving today, fortunately I got what I need...

From my body I seem to have little reception,
Though it hasn’t yet been 24 hours since my surgery,
I sort of thought that the anesthesia would have made me sleepy,
No pain did I experience, though I did get a little weepy…

My body did tell me that I had been by a circular saw invaded,
My ability to walk seemed rather degraded,
I must be having a kind of “hangover” to the drug,
It’s as if in my mouth I had been kind of mugged…

Getting out of bed is an experiment in standing drunk,
Been a long, long time since last I felt inebriated,
Even this morning, approximately 16 hours after the oral surgery,
I feel a bit in a weird, hazy but not totally uninteresting bluish funk…
