We have to go through hell to know what heaven is like…

Feeling pretty damn good, if I do say so myself, and i do...

Poem Artwork

For the last five or so years,
I experienced my greatest fears,
Sick in the hospital & almost died,
Yes, through hell it was a most sobering ride…

It took those doctors several attempts,
Them dealing with several contretemps,
My physical being has much improved,
Many internal problems pretty much removed…

Mentally too I have found the ocean my solace,
Therein I am afraid I have not become flawless,
But feel better every day even though I live as a recluse,
Better am I now though as never again will I have to worry,
With regards of my using a, on myself, noose…

So good to see you coming out of that long funk that resulted with you ending up in the hospital near death. Can't get any closer to hell than that!

Such is the way as we age. You have put it wisely and well. Some good rhythms and rhymes and oh, the terrible truth. Thanks for telling it like it is. John

Yeah, nooses make you useless. All pain, no gain.
Still, not a bad refrain.

Happy to hear you have found solace by the ocean
and within yourself!

Oh, Ed, I just lost a FB couple as friends due to tractor trailer accident, both killed. They were very active, had some health issues, minor, but guess God needed them to be active for him in Heaven. I surely do miss them and also will remember them also.

The healthiest person can be walking down a street and get hit by a car. You walked down a very dangerous road and got back home alive. I'm so glad you are feeling better...physically and mentally.

Love ya!

We are pretty much in the same boat, Ed, except for the many times you were in the hospital, nearly dying twice I think. I have three or four thing wrong with me that could cause me to expire, but so far they haven't. Hah! Saying that, I'll probably trip on something and break my neck instead.
