Sugar or the lack thereof...

Diabetes can be oh so much the pain in the ass...

Poem Artwork

I check my sugar twice a day,

Sometimes I do so thrice,

As three times would be better,

But rarely do I follow directions to the letter…

Sometimes it is a super low reading,

I try not to of you be too misleading,

When it is a super low number,

Most times that is around sixty,

Never much lower than fifty,

For with it that low I barely can at all function,

My body does signal to my brain a major malfunction…

From that point on, sugar is needed to restore normalcy,

And as usual I seem to eat way too much,

But my sugar does rise to a better degree & such,

Restoring my body & brain to usual harmony.

I'll second what Ron said. A bout all I can say is hang in there, and best of luck to you.

It is sad what a diabetic has to go through daily in order to maintain some semblance of a reasonable life. If there is a cure for diabetes, I hope it comes soon.

It's amazing how much we need sugar. Surely the diabetic knows.
