Ocracoke Light...

What a wonderful place Ocracoke NC is...


Poem Artwork

Ocracoke Light…


 


She stands proud over her namesake harbor,


Protecting her population & those of sailors,


From shoals and sandbars that are a many,


Her little island of the same moniker,


Has seen her share of hurricanes,


Pirates used her shores,


To bury the plunder they looted from others.


 


A wonderful place to make a home, if you ask me,


Or a business as my soul mate and I have thought,


Horses inhabit this island as well,


So Rene’ is very attracted to this, I can tell.


 


If the day should ever come that we will live,


On this beautiful island place,


You will know from the amount of poems,


Regarding that beautiful place,


That I have found my home,


And quite possibly the place I will die…

Wonderful write and dream Ed, I too have one that is similar, because it involves the coast....Excellent write Ed.....oh by the way...does Ocracoke still have that..(you know)...beach :) its been a few years since I was there...take care.
