Homophobia Free Zone…

Homophobic, not me,

For friends I have, see?

Not many left, but the few,

I still do, are the best friends any person could have,

We have done so much together,

Gone places, seen things, vacationed with each other,

They even got to know, after my dads death, my mother…

And through it all, they have been nothing but good friends,

Those you can call at minutes notice, when down,

To bring you up, to bring you around,

So before you go and make rash thoughts, or statements untrue ,

Maybe you should get to know someone gay or maybe a few…

For life is rough, yes it is, prejudice is not right,

Be it about black, or white, or Christian or Jew,

But I think that the worst prejudice one can have,

Is the prejudice of sexual orientation, who cares what they do?

They are human beings, they are little different than others, so what?

If they don’t go into your bedrooms to see what you do,

Why should you go into theirs to see what you claim you do not…
