The Altar flowers

 Chrysanthemum clusters 

The delicate cream winter flowers I adore

Lovely   rich blossoms star like appear

 With yellow Lilies and hyacinth   together   at Altar stands

Freshly   filled   vases, gleam with long stalks of flowers

Venerating   the cross at church’s   Altar, the laity crowd

The time   of Lent, the season   for fasting prayers are here

All eyes at the Altar, in the church, where mind seeks   warmth

Seeking peace and hope as nearer in search of truth we go

Seek the blessings of God's child  Jesus,

Who walked the earth and died for others

Peace be on earth, peace in minds

Everlasting life
