Poem Artwork

A thought arising in your mind.

You still dwell on yesterday.

You can smell yester years almost freshly.

A pain in your heart, the prove of the wound yet to heal.

They took everything that you had.

They broke everything that you were.

Your very spirit was crushed.

You try to compose yourself, but to the wall you are pushed.

You can't take it anymore.

You breathe deeply, this load has to be tossed.

You have to let go, if you got to live for today and tomorrow.

Serenity is what you feel as you chuck this

load that has been a part of you for ages.

Just let it go...

My mantra is all letting go is healing...all healing is letting go...not always easy, but it is for our own benefit ultimately....you just have to work at it daily...
Hugs,
Diana...

Powerful poetic thoughts abound within you Mary!

The more I dive into other peoples needs the less time I have to be concerned about my own woes. I think God wired us that way ON PURPOSE! What a wonderful force for a better life for all if we choose not to resist His will for us.

Love and abundant blessings,

John Michael

Letting go can be tough-- some memories last a long time but on a different note sometimes letting go of one way of writing to try something different might be the next best thing at least that is what I have been thinking of myself and the poetry I have written in the past-- well done

Well, I always think by myself, I am not better than them. In fact, I'm probably worse. Like I said in my poem "Judgment". But it's still hard. Nice and encouraging, thanks, D.T.

To some letting go isn't all that easy. In my case it took me a lot of years before I was able to let go and forgive those who needed forgiveness, but the hardest part was forgiving myself. But I did it and am living out my later years in peace. It was worth the wait.

To some, it is easier said than done. Some memories are hard to toss out. It will fade in time eventually.

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
