Jeff, I'm in awe. The reverence, the beauty, the soulfire. The pain. I am saddened beyond words for such a loss, both to you and to Deanna's little daughters and close family. I can only pray that your depth of love - tangible and supernatural - may remain with you to heal you of your sorrow and minister into your pain, so that in some way it might be metamorphosed into an enduring strength and glory in your heart and soul. Your loss is so great... and yet, what you have been blessed with is even more bountiful, even more majestic than our minds can comprehend. Dear Jeff,
most lovely and heartfelt tribute I was very moved. It is such a blessing that such people exist at all, more so when we are lucky enough to meet them. It leaves me with a pang of pain in the heart to remember from my own experience and from yours how some of the loveliest people and experiences on earth seem to be too lovely to stay with us long enough. I do not know why some of the loveliest people are taken away from us so early but such is the drama and the exquisite rhythm pain/joy of life and the transientness of all things as the Buddhists well know. You have made such a lovely contribution full of emotion and love. This wonderful poem calls for enactment with movement and music of sufficient beauty and serenity and intensity. Thinking of you and of your loss which moves me to live again in a poignant but positive way a parallel loss that I have experienced recently. The first days and weeks and months are very difficult one needs to live out and express all the grief and through the expressed grief find the joy of having been blessed with such wonderful people even for a short time. You are already doing that in your lovely poem.

Lovely lady Jeff, you did a great tribute to her, sympathies

Clearly, reviewer/author Alexander Dijas (forgive if the spelling is wrong) was reviewing this as a 'poem,' but in actuality this is a 'song' (already have the melody) - and songs follow different criteria, formats and methodologies from poems.

Additionally, he had implied that I 'borrowed from Byron' in my AD Bio quote when, in fact, I've never read anything by Byron. I certainly have heard of Byron and may one day read some of his works.

At any rate, I do appreciate criticism and critiques, but "tributes" also should be respected with sensitivity. They are tributes for a reason - sometimes they are 'rushed onto the page,' and are less than perfect - like Deanna - she was the first to admit she was far from perfect and she was happy to point out her own flaws.

'Nuff said.
