I think this piece is long overdue. If I read about one more 'revelation' by some servant at Kensington Palace, or some ex-lover with a cocaine habit who needs the extra bucks that a tell-all expose' will bring him, I'll just lose it. I can only think of one other woman in history has been more violated in the press after death, and that's Marilyn Monroe. However, if we give them enough time, Diana's people might have a chance to catch up. Yeesh!!!!! They're gone...their lives are over. We owe it to them, as well as their survivors to let them go once and for all. This was a great write!

Thoughtful and touching Sara. Though I was not a fan of Di (nor a detractor)I think the way her memory has been pimped around the world media is a sad reflection on the celebrity obsessed society we have created. Loved you gently flowing rhythm (almost like a lullabye) and the deft touch with the rhyming scheme.

Sara, you are so right, a lovely piece to say let the poor soul rest in peace, they could not even get the memorial fountain in Hyde Park right, after the big opening it had to be closed, it is going to be open to the public again next week, what a farce it has been. I am no Royalist by any means, but to my mind, it is time to let the Lady be.

This is finely written in form and with grace in expression.
The lines of repetition are most effective, in light of the argument.
