 each of us

have their own dweller
sometimes such entity
seem bigger than he is
and his life depends
on the energy
we feed him
if he overpowers
he'll take your sight
make you believe
in all the lies
he'll make you hear
words you arent
in agreement with
feel emotions
that are
in complete opposite
but, this dweller
gains his strength
to what
you feed to him
he knows all
your doubts and worries
the made up tales
the whispers of the devil
careful not to give in
he might overtake
your Being
and see the world
in a dark gloomy place
but remember child,
you created him
so wise up
leave your follies
he cannot be defeated
through anger
and fist fight
he loves that energy
he'll be mightier
than he is
oh my child, breathe
you are his maker
let him be something else
love him
with all the fervor
and magnitude
of your Spirit
he'll shrink in size
give him assurance that
all is alright
infect him with courage
bless him your faith
he'll be back in your garden
not as a pest
but a tiny tot bunny
kissing your feet
isnt this stupendous
no dim glasses
or mist in your eyes
such a
beautiful garden this
peaceful mind
a dweller redeemed
an energy cleansed
can give you back
all the strength
you'd given him
now that is
wise investing
remaking oneself
always results
in changing your world
and that is all
that matters.

Much enjoyed your poem, Audrine. Every time I have been hurt it was because I had given my power away to someone else. Wise words.

Seems we are with some synergism here, as I'm about to post what I just flogged the keyboard into some acceptance of absurdity notions about myself with "Inside Joke". Liked this romp, as it feels like a stream of consciousness like the genie in the jug: once out, it can't be put back in. That's what these thoughts deserve. Freedom.

A great rendition of why so many have imaginary friends to help them with loneliness and to make decisions that are usually better than being dragged down by the devil in all of us.

I never had an imaginary friend. Probably because I was a twin and my twin brother was always there with me. So we kept each other out of the devil's work though I was the one instigating everything. And he gladly let me so that he would get in trouble. ;-)

The dark side always has a strong pull, but never stronger than the light side. That's what "remaking" again and again is all about.

So true little sister. We create the monsters in our lives. We invent them, feed them and make them stronger than they truly are. If we invent them, then we can destroy them. Darkness to light, that is a power that resides in all of us. Write on.
