The Zen-Koan as Poem - The Same Question - Part Four

The Master said: "Why does Time repeat Itself ?"

Said Monk-Disciple 1: "If Time doesn't repeat Itself, everything will disappear from sight."

Said Monk-Disciple 2: "A repeated offence calls for a higher time sentence."

Said Monk-Disciple 3: "Time repeats Itself to accentuate the fact that time and time again we all make the same mistake(s) and never really learn the Lesson."

Said Monk-Disciple 4: "Repeating the same mistake distinguishes us from quadrupeds, beasts, ocean mammals, mongrels, witches, meat-bone-scale-hoof-and-mud-eaters, and from publishers, football commentators, critics and prize-givers."

Said Monk-Disciple 5: "Unlike repeated bird and bestial roe calls in the woods and jungles, Time is a Man-made Leviathon machine which produces History books of civilized peoples in every epoch under the same paradigm: programmes, patterns and the DNA of politicians, pontiffs and royal paragons."

Said Monk-Disciple 6: "Time repeats Itself to keep and/or beat time: how else can music be made for the body to dance and dream through the den of delirious boredom ?"

Said Monk-Disciple 7: "The heart-beat is the reproduction of the Big-Bounce before the Bang on a slightly less larger scale, of course."

Said Mon-Disciple 8: "Beat time with your feet and you get to dancing at the Super-Bowl pageant. Beat your head with screams and howls and base balls and you get to "sock-her" in "le fut."

Said Monk-Disciple 9: "Time repeats Itself to make murderous madness sink deeper into the mentality of Man whereas monkeys merely mope."

Said Monk-Disciple 10: "Everything grows including faults by repetition in timely stages."

Said Monk-Disciple 11: "Only through the repetition of Time, Life manifests Itself; contrari-wise we'd all probably die (nay, would long be dead) of boredom or of the measles."

And the Master said: "Can you take Time as or for an example ?"

Like a river, time does not repeat, but flows on continuously. However, as your disciples clearly point out, repetition seems still have a life of its own largely because life itself is mostly repetitive rhythms based on the travels of our close in celestial bodies. Our rotation around the sun, our rotation on our access, and the rotation and phases of the moon rotating around us.

Some very clever references like to succor and feet-ball.
