When i was younger my father and I used to go to Mesa Falls and he would try to teach me to draw pine trees. These memories are a big part of why i still love waterfalls and art.
Cascading shades of clarity
Falling down a cliff
Drops of mist,
Like prisms,
Set the light a drift.
Refracting and reflecting
All we ever knew
My memories of waterfalls
Are always tied to you.
Sitting quiet by the railing,
Both with pen in hand,
Each would try to capture
The story of the land.
Quiet hours drawing landscapes
As we sat among the trees
Happy days of art work
And a gentle summer’s breeze
I like it, Bug.
