Poem Artwork

Meditating mind sits up on the hill
Green below sparkling silver here
Ice melts beneath my body’s heat
Visions bounce throughout the trees

Smells of pine mingle about me
Lights flash rainbows before me
Opening wider to the Gods way
Earth life quickly leaves this place

Man sits down there in the dirt
Heavens all around this world
Breathe freezes taking my thoughts
Melting and mingling with moss

Veil so soft to the souls embrace
When do I step forth within thee
Mothers of the past dance here
Scholars read so much more

Open up for deaths silent Angel
Carrying the meek to his throne
Welcome them with open arms
Cast the heathens finally into fire

Awesome and knowing write from someone obviously in tune with nature and the afterlife. I too have sat beneath the pines in winters early dusk and marvelled at the beauty and majesty that a higher power has bestowed upon us.
