Enough is enough! Anger and hurt can tear families apart. Some times it takes a loved ones death to bring the family unit together again.( Thats what happened in our family). I hope and pray it will not come to that for you. Its a powerful write!....M
Hear hear. These words could so easily apply to members of my family as well. I've learnt the value of forgiveness and being able to let go. I've missed your work Michelle and hope to read more of it as my life settles down. It's so good to read you again.

Unfortunately, Michelle, enough usually comes when you either leave the situation or die. Violence is a snowball that is rolling downhill gathering strength, mass and speed. Violence only escalates, it is extremely rare for a truce to be called and adhered to. Very sad...I hope your family sees the light and becomes one of the positive statistics.

Sometimes it will never be enough, some people do not comprehend that we all must depart this world someday sooner then later, how sad it is when family members pass on without the chance to say one last time I love you...
This is so true, and they are lucky to have a voice of wisdom like you. I come from a big italian family and we get offended with each other but try to stop short of the no longer speaking point because the importance and respect of family has been ingrained in us. But when the emotions get going, it is easy to forget- I used to have anger issues, but I realized all the things you wrote in this eye-opening poem.
