~*~Just wanted to share with you, one of my earliest "poems" that I wrote, this was written in 1981, hope you enjoy it :):) ~*~

 Thought  Explosion....

Confusion, confusion,
My mind's in confusion,
Delirious with thoughts,
odd and weird,
racing through my mind,
which leaves me weak
yet excited

Visions I see,
but blurred and uncharacteristic.
My feelings are all
mixed emotions,
in a wild sea of turmoil,
tossing and turning,
heaving and then receding,
crashing down with a
thunderous explosion,
while my senses are reeling,
my mind is spinning
turning, turning,
not wanting to stop,
my head is heavy,
my spirits are soaring,
delving into things unknown,
travelling with velocity,
not wanting to stop
and yet,
wanting to stop,
but on I go
seeing unrealistic objects,
strange and new to me,
I'm high,
so high,
dancing on the wings of the wind,
then suddenly,
floating along,
on the magic of the soft feathery clouds.

Magic,
what unbelievable serenity.
I'm slipping slowly,
then
suddenly,
I'm coming down,
with a fantastic speed.

Help !
all too quickly,
I touch reality,
I'm back again,
back,
I wait,
for
my next
magical
trip....

I love those trips that make us forget reality, at least for a little while.
Great poem for a start.

I like this piece Elga, it may be an older poem but
your style is prevalent. May you never stop writing.

You have caught my breath with this whirling write, Elga! Totally heady and intoxicating: vibrant with youthful energy and descriptive of almost every conceivable way of forging ahead and expending it! You sound a bit like me - my thought-life is often so "all over the place", like a bounding puppydog, that my body is at a loss to keep up... these days, I need to think sitting down lest I knock myself over! But you go, Girl! Catch that Tiger by the tail! Love the exuberance, here, Elga. Well done!

One powerful explosion. Pass me a sip of whatever your drinking. If it does this to ones words, the heck, send me a gallon.

Wonderful!! This is how I felt when I found poetry, constantly tripping up, up and away in my mind, turbulent, passionate, scared and excited... It's a beautiful piece, Elga~Indigo. :)

I don't think this poem wanted to stop. But maybe, in a way, it hasn't. I can hear the echoes of every poem of yours I've read right here.

I like the contrast of weak and excited in the first stanza and the wonderful images throughout. Nice one.
