This poem is dedicated to all, and also those who may be feeling tired, weary and generally fed up with life, and may be needing a comforting and understanding moment.

I hope that my words are able to encourage and touch you, in some small way.

hugs and love
Elga/Indigo

 The Rage

Your slow and laboured pace along this hot desert floor,
You feel so weary, tiredness screams from every pore,
the pace now slower, mind and body scream and plea,
almost still, you ache, exhaustion ! you want to flee.

You now drag yourself, so tired, you begin to crawl,
You're fighting to keep your head above the squall,
pneumatic wind spitting swirling sand with velocity,
this quicksand pit devouring you with such voracity.

Together within this pit are heavy binding chains ,
that weight which saps your strength now reigns,
that draws you in, and wears you down some more,
yet your soul will not allow you to shut that door.

With tenacious strength now appearing out from nowhere,
you pull and tug and heave yourself, back into the biosphere,
head now above, the power of mind silently stills the rage,
the beating sands, that were so wild, now steadily disengage.

As you struggle now, you haul yourself right into a sea of calm,
the senses reeling, body tired, but soon you'll feel the balm,
weighted chains and quicksand pit, now transformed oasis,
refreshing coolness fills the mind, you now know the basis.

Take refuge from the harsh hot sun, sit beneath the shade,
dip your mind into tranquillity now, and let the fears fade,
pleasant thoughts, serene new hopes, you know you have won,
remember....  often scenes are but fictions, that you let run !

Roundly touching, life certainly is filled with many highs and lows.
And hopefully the highs win out in the long wrong.
A fine write Elga.

Elga, it is always a pleasure to visit your remarkable Den, my friend. There are many times in ones life, when sadness become too much to bare, yet with strong faith and support, one can easily overcome the troubling times. Your beautiful presentation as usual is excellent. You put a lot of effort into your choices and they are very well-done. Thank you for sharing your work. Take good care and be well.

Yeah, it's impossible to be happy 100% of the time. It may be a harsh lesson sometimes, but you can't have ups without downs.

Dear Anita,

Thank you. No, I always write my poetry first, and then go "hunting" for a picture, not always easy, but perseverance is the key element. I wish I could write poetry inspired by pictures, but unfortunately I can't... (not yet, maybe sometime lol) Unfortunately I have no idea who the artist is (blushing) will try to find out, no promises though.... and once again thanks Anita.

warm hugs
Elga
