Dazzling Day, takes leave,
and turns slowly towards the door,
she moves with unhurried grace,
her illumination
dimming, fading .... dipping,
until her light is seen no more.
Her sister, Night,
enters stealthily,
pinning her dark majestic cloak,
across the silent skies
a myriad luminescent lights
cast a prismatic glow,
through her threadbare cloak,
now long weathered by the aeons past.
She provides cover,
for immense possibilities,
not as heartless as her pale sister,
Dark, yet she pulses with surges of passion,
Moon, her now full and rounded face,
shines gently, with ease and grace,
Lighting the way in corners dark,
where beings fear to go,
Her hope and courage,
upon the earth bestowed.
Let's repose in her mellow light,
beneath this skyscape art,
relish in her beauty,
engulfed in her magical power,
Free to love at last !
