Figment of Failure

Sadness now lies in the wings of shadows,
casting pain, on the fragile tender heart,
pained expression, on a face that now shows
elusive thoughts, of ghosts that seem to dart.

Guarded heart of one who fears cutting ire,
thus no sin committed, but for thought alone;
figment of failure - now burning like fire,
whilst tears stride onwards, trying to atone.

Oft angrily sounding, but not so meant,
reverence expressed - avoidance now seen,
to hell and back this heart and soul were sent,
misunderstanding, that life's not routine.

Life and love together you should employ,
the past now gone  - strive for lifes' peace and joy.
