Dying Rose
Within there is the ache
Pain and sadness no one knows
Daily I slip and fade away
Like falling petals from a dying rose
Wounds invisible so profound
Intensely searing and will not heal
Though I’ve tried for so long now
Yet the pain I can’t conceal
With a tremulous voice I call
From behind the wall of tears
Just pleading to be heard
Please understand my fears!
Can you feel the silence?
But do you hear the pain?
In between the thunder
And the pouring rain.
Night skies so dark and lonely
Heavenwards I look north east
Searching for that one bright star
Where upon my eyes could feast
Is my search but all in vain?
Is it no where to be found?
Heaviness within my heart
Lament and sorrow there abound

A beautiful heart like yours has no need of searching
and the rose does not die in vain. It will blossom again.
Love & Light,
Joseph
I cannot commit my self to others' searches, but I can commit to the adage, and advice, to keep searching. The beauty of dead-alive rose petals is superceded by the flexibility of live-alive rose petals, and well worth the effort. A strange and homologous word, effort.
As always, with respect,
Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen
Best wishes
I have missed you--are you well?
Powerfully expressed pain...yet, tinged with hope. Beautifully crafted and imaged.

Like mercury when we think we have it,it is even more elusive...

Mujhe tumse pyar hai bahut Sanam.
Mere dard ko mitao, tum mere meet ho.
Bin tere kuch nahin hai…
Your poem tugs at the heart. Just when we think no one hears or understands the brightest of stars appears. Remember the rose may die but will return more vibrant and beautiful as ever.
