The Guitar Whisperer’s Song
By: Fee
Okay old friend, come let’s sit a spell
you’re one sweet lady that’s for sure
been around the block a time or two
but old girl your voice is still pure
we’ve sang many songs together
through the good times and the bad
always there when I needed you
my one true friend when I was sad
you got scars, dents and scratches
but baby you wear your age so well
some ask: “Why don’t I get a new one?”
but I don’t want to kiss and tell
we’ve whispered songs to sunsets
sang funeral dirges to fallen dead
sweet lullabies to babes in arms
spoke out with words of angry red
we’ve sung nursery rhymes and carols
love songs to melt the coldest heart
we’ve travelled across the country
on a beach I swore we’d never part
sweet oak mistress of the night time
you’ve never asked too much of me
a set of strings every now and then
was all it took to set your magic free
tenderly I lay you in your velvet case
knowing tomorrow I will touch you all new
once more we’ll make music together
the guitar whisperer, a song and you…
A picture of real life here.

Nice thing about the guitar is it can go with you easily anywhere you want to go*
Your poem is brilliant, worthy of a frame and a picture of the old girl??
Best wishes to you!
