Outside Looking In
Oh my little one can you really see me
On the outside looking in
Out here alone I felt cold and weary
Wondering...
where am I going, where have I been
Then you notice me looking in at you
Your wide smile pushes back the cold
I snap a picture but I already captured
This special private memory to always hold
I had been thinking how years speed by so fast
Though I treasured every moment we had to share
All too soon I know someday you'll look around
To see that your Poppy is no longe here
Your muted giggle wipes a tear from my eye
A silent laugh and kiss through the window pane
Then I hurry back to my room to get my trunks
Because you want me to play with you again…
Love you cuz,
Selena
Beautiful tribute to your precious granddaughter. Grandchildren are life's treasures. I feel the same way about mine.

anything we are not looking at. The lens however sees everything.
I have some amazing pics of flowers which also captured the camouflaged catapillars that I didn't see.
Your verses are embracing too, offering us all love from the
beautiful soul of children...their love big as the sky
their purity to love untarnished
