Dolphin Sighs

This poem was inspired by a phone call I had from my granddaughter Jaimie-Lee when she was on vacation in Florida. Of course while they were enjoying the sunshine, Poppy was home babysitting her pet rabbit Thumper....lol
PS: This is the actual picture of her kissing her dolphin friend.

Poem Artwork

Dolphin Sighs

Today I kissed a real dophin Poppy

he even took me for a little ride

I think he really loved me Poppy

Daddy said he thinks the dophin sighed

he spoke a funny language Poppy

his breath smelled of fish for sure

but it was just like magic Poppy

who could ask for anything more

oh Poppy...he was so beautiful

I wanted to take him home to you

we could keep him in your bathtub

Poppy I know he'd love you too

Okay daddys calling and I have to go

Mommy says it's time there's much more fun

I sure do miss you though Poppy

down here in the Florida sun...
