Poem Artwork

This back door life,

this lonely place,

grass grows thick,

full leaved trees

replace

stark landscape.

A bird crashing

into mirrowed glass

percieving it is free,

I crash into enormous space

with sunlight so bright

it hurts my face.

I see my unlived days,

elastic, unpaved.

Behind me,

the known unknown shadows

form on the edge of light,

the flashing gleams

from the street,

the almost audible,

but not quite,

voices I know.

These formless moments,

these shapeless shapes

call me

like storm clouds

in the night.

A very nice mood setter, leaving me wanting more.
You are very addictive.

Very haunting and true for those of us aging. I have birds hitting my massive backyard windows almost every day, thinking they are flying with a fellow bird or merging with themselves. Fortunately, most survive the punishing blow.

I do go out in the sun and find that it is evermore blinding and unbearable to my skin on my face. It's the shimmering glint of reflection that probably disorient the birds and bothers me and you, I believe.

Wish I could write poetry like this.

Ron

One Lucky Guy by Paul Lonardo

(Richard M. Feldman) Ever since I was a young boy, the only thing I wanted to be was a cowboy. I wanted to own and work on a real ranch, with cattle and horses. Especially horses. While I never became a cowboy, considering everything I have done

No More Crying Angels by MORGAN ST. JAMES

TRUE STORY. Bella survived an abusive powerbroker father with organized crime ties, a drug-addicted mother and a physically/sexually abusive brother. Shocking & inspirational. When she couldn't cry, she tattooed a crying angel to cry for her.
