I Dreamed

I dreamed the dream…a thousand times

It alters only slightly…here and there

But when I wake…I remember

It was a dream…never real

I dream of a time…you say you love me

I dream of the happiness we shared

But only when I dream…

Though we are happy in reality

And show it day by day

And we care…oh yes…we do care

But is it enough…I fear not

I understand…for I am patient

And I can wait till the end of time

Will I wait…yes…I will

No pressures…no games…no pushing

But I will dream…over and over

Because in my dreams…you love me
