As I peer across a valley

At a shade of green, so full and lush

I think of you

What is he doing now?, I ask

Is he happy with his life

Does he think of me from time to time

Is his thoughts the same

Our love was so long ago

I’m home again....finally sanctuary

The quiet is to quiet sometimes

And with time on my hands, I think

Of yesteryear and time that’s past

Will we meet again....and when?

Will he look at me and remember?

I will peer at the same valley again

Will that shade of green, still be the same?

Not likely, because as time, it to shall change

But I will still think of you
