Strong, taut and full of the surreal and sharply-imaged bizarre. Somehow conjures the black and white definitions of Liza Minelli's "Cabaret", though a totally different backdrop and setting. There is a strange beauty and a sense of natural justice when The Ugly rock, whippin up a funk with the punk and the skunk. Gotta love that white Cadillac hearse, very 60's retro. Just what are they servin down The Firebrand Saloon?!! Stuff to make Joni's Big Yellow Taxi turn into John's Yellow Submarine.... Sergeant Pepper would be right up for this lock-down :)) xx
