I See You...I put you in the spotlight like the doe.

Poem Artwork

Surveillance Conducted by the Aspens

night vision
concealed under the bark
buckknife's incision I put you
in the spotlight like the doe your
come hither look you spoke with nary
a lisp I caught the image you're no stranger
to the dark my infrared surveillance camera monitor
sees forest friendly

will-o'-the-wisp
carving or scar?
I left my mark for
you to decipher the
amber in the drinking
jar a clue for the archer
where we bed down with
the mountain goat

I see you...

I hear the howling and the scurry of shadows
twigs snapping...the owl watches

If an act takes place in the forest with only the aspens watching, did it take place? Or is it forever etched in the bark of the trees to be deciphered later.

Some interesting ideas expressed in this little ditty.

I've been marked, I've been cut, I've been watched. The aspen grove has seen many things!

Peace and piercing archer's arrows,

Dayvid
