Growing up, when we had a family reunion, Grandpa has the last word. We tried hard to get along even though we did not agree with one another. In the end of the day, we vowed to keep the family tradition going. But today is so different. People don't want to offend others so they just stay home. What happened to the family? Where is the core, the center? Well, my dear friend, without Christ we all just a bunch of lost sheep! Amen

Family Reunion Things were different when I was very small. Grandpa had the last word, what he said was gospel. Sometimes you did not get along with one another. But you still would see your cousin, sister or brother. But today is so different; the world is a divided place. Democrats and Republicans want to have their own space. Liberals and conservatives really have no common ground. They can pass by each other and not make a single sound. Yes, we all come from the same old family tree. But we are different as day and night. So what happened? How could this be? Reference: Luke 11:17 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them: "Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall.

Wow, how true this is, John. My mom's big italian family were raised and raised my cousins and I, that family is the most important thing, and that we stop fights before we aren't speaking to each other, just agree to disagree, and I know now how wise that teaching was- I completely agree with the political statement in this, as an Independent, I find it pretty much impossible to discuss issues with either side, as both are filled with such anger-it's sad. Also, I LOVE Badgers AND Foxes!!!!! :) Cute pic!! Michelle

Travel has made the family reunion very difficult. I only have my son here. But I wish we could all be together again.
