Broken and Wounded

Family and friends are all broken and are the walking wounded in so many different ways. We just need to reach out and help one another to get by these days.

Poem Artwork

As I search the earth for the perfect day.

There is no such thing, so I better go another way.

My family and friends are all wounded and are dealing with strife.

I got to be thankful for I still have a home, a car, two pets and my wife.

But I am no fool for I know all we have can be quickly taken away in a flash.

We can easily go broke, and in one way or another we are all subject to crash.

So we help many others all around us and we do whatever we can.

For what kind of friends would we be if we didn’t?  So we reach out and lend a helping hand.

We are not perfect; we are also very wounded and broken hearted just like our friends.

We are fired, rehired, move forward and pick up the pieces and the stress never seems to end.

But we are eternally grateful for the love from our family, our friends, our Lord and our faith.

So we use glue from up above and pray that our time here on earth will be fruitful and not go to waste.

Amen!

Thank You for sharing this John
& a very diligent truth in need
my brother was murdered on Feb 16th
& I feel so utterly broken, I don't
even recognize myself in the mirror
I feel like my soul wants to leave
my body & it is trapped inside
I look like someone punched me in
both eyes...I feel so broken
But I praise God his mercy will
soon steal me away from all this
because there is treasure in every trial

Excellent poem, brother John, that just breaths forth much healing truth! (Liked the photo a lot also) As the days grow darker, and the love of many continues to grow cold as self-will abounds, we are going to need God's touch through one another, more and more. May your poem be used mightily of Jesus to do just that.

Yes, the stress never ends. That's why we need to face each day with open energy to try to help as many as we can before today is over and tomorrow comes––when we may need that help, too.

words that express the many trials we have to face, and then to know that God is our light to overcome the many problems in our own life, and family and friends.

So many need a helping hand today, and I hope many heed your message.
