Things have changed so much over the last generation...and technology is the poor substitute for real life contact...sad but inevitable fact...

You have so wisely and accurately penned what lies in the hearts of so many these days... myself included. I heartily agree with Ron, how deeply it has ill-affected many peoples' lives.. we were never meant to "go it alone".
But in my heart, I believe the LORD is causing a reversal, slowly but surely, as He turns the hearts of the fathers back to the sons, and the sons to their fathers!
That is the Hope within me :)

My siblings and I are miles apart separating us. They are all over the world. My own family is all in Canada right now, but yes... there are difference in views in between the youngs and ourselves. However, we do not obligate them to our way of life because they do not know it and are not born in our era. We can make suggestion to the young ones on things that we think that can improve their lifestyle, or about the friends they keep. The rest is up to them to decide if our suggestion is good for them or not. Sometimes... I think we just have to let them explore their own worlds...just like the way we had explored ours. We may get upset when they will not listen to our suggestion, but the family bond should always be there.
